Hi! I have been doing bodywork full time since 1987 and am as passionate about it as ever. I love helping people feel better in their bodies, hearts, and souls so they can live their best life possible. My passion is to listen deeply, verbally and non-verbally, to what is needed to help my clients create lives filled with as much ease, happiness, and fulfillment as possible.
I believe very deeply that we are always entirely a whole Being, doing the best we can to live life with as much ease and joy as possible. There is nothing “wrong” with us, ever. We’re ALWAYS doing the best we can. We don’t choose to be in pain, or to suffer. When we are able to move more easily, to not contract into pain, to let go of an outdated idea or belief system that isn’t serving us, we do. We always are moving with as much ease as our body, psyche, and emotions can manifest in that moment. And since we are one integrated Being, whatever we experience—joy and laughter, restrictions or pain in our bodies, hearts, or minds—we experience it in all of our Self.
My hope is to help you find better options. To help you let go of whatever movements, tensions, beliefs, habits, and patterns no longer serve you, to help you find more support and adaptability and integration so you move through life with more ease and joy. My work supports transformation and deep change for the entire Being. I integrate a variety of manual therapies, a deep skill set, and decades of experience to help with that intention. Specifically, I use Rolfing® Structural Integration, Rolf Movement(R) Integration, Biodynamic Craniosacral, Neural and Visceral Mobilization, and Massage, all of which can be helpful in transformation, decreasing pain, increasing well-being, and reducing movement and breathing restriction for people of any age and fitness level. I am trauma informed through a variety of continuing education classes, although not certified in a trauma resolution specialty.
Part of my vision of my work in the world is to help people feel increasingly better about their body, to feel safe living in their body with spacious self-love and acceptance. I love working to create a world in which everyone feels good about how they look and feel inside themselves.
I love all bodies, of every shape and color and size, with all their bumps and bulges and flatnessess and textures and angles … I find them so beautiful!
It was a long process for me to find acceptance of my body. I worked hard, starting when I was 16, to get to the point where I love and accept my body, and (maybe even harder) my dyslexic, neurodivergent brain, and I bring that lifelong process to my sessions. As hard as that process was for me, I acknowledge I had it easier than many. I am a white, able-bodied, cis-gendered, heterosexual, short woman whose appearance fits well enough our society’s current standard of acceptability. I deeply honor all those who come into my life who are on the path to self-love, and I appreciate the opportunity to help with that journey.
I am committed to creating an inclusive and safe environment for all my clients, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexuality, ability, race, ethnicity, age, faith, lifestyle, socioeconomic status, culture, national origin, or political views. I ask that everyone who comes into my office be kind, open-minded, and compassionate to others while in my office. I am open to feedback and conversation around these issues and how I can best be supportive.
Jill is the best of the best. I’ve had a standing monthly appointment with her for years, and her experienced hands, knowledge, and intuition have helped support my body through many injuries, accidents, and even hip replacement surgery. She is a gifted healer and a beautiful human being, and I highly recommend her to anyone.
